Default Tie Up with Hotels and Guest Houses all over India for IRS (C&CE) service memebers

Respected Members,
With this discussion i want to bring to the kind notice of all the respected seniors that IRS(IT) people have patched up with the hotels and guest houses all over india for the comfortable stay of their service members.

IRS : Utilities

This is a good step in my view.

I think our service members may also take some step in this direction as this will ultimately result in branding of our service and comfortable stay for our service members also...

Thanks & Regards

Lakshay Kumar

I personally believe that we should make our own infrastructure(read Guest Houses) than going for tie-up with private hotels.

@Ashok Sir,
Sir your suggestion is very inspiring but till the time we develop our own infrastructure of good standard we can have tie up with hotels and ALSO WITH CLUBS. MOreover our own guest houses remain more or less occupied and in case these are occupied then one can have an option in the form of hotels and Sir this step needs your efforts and coordination.

Default Here is my NO OBECTION CERTIFICATE

I am tempted to add something to this thread. When we joined the service, many such ideas were floated, and believe me or not, there was in fact a tie up with many hotels in 1990s or so. On many such occasions when I sought to avail of this facility, I was told by the respective Additional Commissioners ( they were really big those days) that the accommodation is not available as some Commissioner is likely to come and stay there. Thinking that they must be bluffing most of the time, on one such occasion I called up the Commissioner concerned to verify whether any Commissioner was really coming. He answered in the negative but said that they could not rule out the possibility of some Chief Commissioner sending a last minute request for accommodation and hence they could not take a chance. So, friends, if such a facility in fact becomes available to you in future, please do not rule out the possibility of your having to produce a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from all those who matter, or think they matter, certifying that there is no possibility at all, even remote, of their visiting the hotel concerned. Anyhow I am giving you my NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE right in advance.

Patch up as such is absolutely no problem but it will involve an assured financial commitment on behalf of the department or association. We will have to work out first on modelities on our side.

Sir do we need to provide them with financial commitments??? Sir as we are asking them to provide only discount and we are not reserving the room for our service members on a permanent basis so i think we need not provide any financial commitment..

But you are more wiser and experienced than me and you know the each and every aspect of such deals better than me...

Every step from your side is highly respectable and appreciable sir.
